Relocating a Corporation may include everything from moving an executive to a different floor of a building, to moving entire corporate operations from one city to another. Regardless of the size of the move it requires special detailed planning, and most people are unfamiliar with how to prepare.

When you plan a Corporate Move. The major goal is to be as time-efficient and as cost-effective as possible.

You can accomplish this by having a complete knowledge of what your new location looks like, and where every piece of equipment and or furniture will be placed. The most helpful tool is to create an exact floor plan of your new office, including your employee names and the exact location of their new workstations and offices.

The moving company representative then gets a copy of this plan, and either hands it to his workers or hangs copies on major doors and walls in the new location. Such organization will direct the workers to the right spot immediately, and will save a great deal of time.

You should also have your employees write their names and contents on their belonings and boxes. Labeling is a key part of moving offices. Use color-coded labels on each piece that needs to be moved. The specific employee should use the same color for furniture and boxes.
